Thanksgiving! Despite having to work today (boo) I'm pretty damn happy. (Not like I am "working" a lot anyway - been here almost 6 hours and haven't taken a call yet.) This is my third Thanksgiving with my current employer, which means it has been 4 years since I spent Thanksgiving in the battered women's shelter. I've come a long way since then, I think. Although I still have a long way to go. My web friend Tina called me "a remarkable woman." I dunno about all that, but it made my week:).
My best friend left to go home for Thanksgiving yesterday. He won't be back til Sunday. He's had a lot of schoolwork to do and has been taking a week off from the mud, so I have too. I'm sure I will miss it soon, but right now I am kind of enjoying it. So far since starting the break I have: finished a C++ program, gotten my apartment cleaner (somewhat, anyway), registered my very first domain and just basically had time to do things other than mud 24/7. Not that playing with this blog is what I could call productive:).

Went to the doctor today. What else is new? Sometimes I feel really, really old, between all the doctors and physical therapists. They all keep talking about "patience." What is this "patience" thing they speak of? He is not thrilled with my insurance company, which still hasn't approved my brace. I walked through the flood waters last week in my walking cast and it got soaked and is now falling apart.

Went to physical therapy today and got my very own home tens unit. Even better, I got a muscle spasm! I was so happy to have any sort of
muscle movement (voluntary would have been better of course, but I'll take what I can get).
Remind me not to stay up late drinking beer before physical therapy next time, heh.
